Left, Right and Centre

Left, Right and Centre: Episode 1 (1/3/11)

Recorded April 20, 2011

Our first Left, Right and Centre show!

Tom, Sam and Toby

Your host Tom with cohosts Sam and Toby (Alex took the Picture)

This episode, we covered the widespread unrest in the Arab World, the ongoing saga of Julian Assange, and the Christchurch earthquake. Additionally we mentioned Clean Up Australia Day(s!), the beginning of Mad March, and that you should definately volunteer somewhere! (Look up v connect, if you’re at Adelaide Uni!)
Our special interview with Mason Somerville covered the intriguing details surrounding the downfall of a massive volunteering organisation: the Australian League of Immigration Volunteers.
Finally we ended with a song “Sleepless Nights”, by the local Adelaide band Minority Tradition, who like to think of themselves as an ‘impact’ band, and deal with many social issues. Feel free to check them out and support Adelaide music.
